Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble anesthesia equipment and supplies prior to medical procedures.
• Ensure the maintenance, calibration, and functionality of anesthesia machines and tools.
• Assist anesthesiologists during patient induction and throughout surgical procedures.
• Monitor and maintain the sterile field during operations and anesthetic interventions.
• Ensure timely availability of anesthesia medications and intravenous solutions.
• Manage and organize the anesthesia department's inventory and supply orders.
• Facilitate patient transportation and positioning in operating rooms as required.
• Keep accurate records of anesthesia equipment tests and procedural logs.
• Assist in patient recovery and monitoring post-anesthesia under supervision.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and report irregularities to the medical team promptly.
• Participate in emergency responsiveness and readiness when complications arise.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to improve anesthetic care and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required for consideration.
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program preferred.
• Certification as an Anesthesia Technician is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a clinical or hospital setting is crucial.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anesthesia equipment operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with hospital staff and patients.
