We are currently recruiting for an Analyst – Roster Planning to join our Onboarding Team in Dubai.


Scope

The Analyst-Roster Planning serves as a critical integrator across Demand Planning, Roster Management, and Roster Administration functions. The role ensures that workforce supply is effectively aligned with forecasted demand, operational requirements, and business objectives. It is responsible for translating demand forecasts into executable, optimized rosters while maintaining compliance with labor regulations and company policies. Through rigorous validation, reporting, and analytics, the role enables data-driven decision-making, improves forecast-to-roster accuracy, and drives continuous improvements in workforce planning processes, ultimately enhancing service levels, productivity, and cost efficiency.


Responsibilities


Financial

  • Optimize workforce utilization to minimize overstaffing and understaffing costs.
  • Monitor and control labor cost variance against approved budgets and demand plans.
  • Drive improvements in cost efficiency through better alignment of rosters to demand forecasts.
  • Reduce overtime, idle time, and agency/temporary labor dependency through effective planning.
  • Support financial planning cycles by providing workforce cost projections and scenario analysis.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and automation initiatives.


Customer

  • Act as the primary liaison between Demand Planners, Roster Managers, and Roster Administration teams to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Ensure roster outputs consistently meet defined service level agreements (SLAs) and operational performance targets.
  • Proactively identify and resolve roster-related discrepancies, risks, and escalations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders through dashboards, reports, and regular updates.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to enable collaborative problem-solving and decision-making.


Process

  • Translate demand forecasts into optimized and executable roster plans, ensuring feasibility within operational constraints.
  • Validate roster builds and system updates performed by Roster Administration teams to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and operational guidelines across all roster plans.
  • Maintain data integrity and consistency across workforce planning systems and tools.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for roster planning, governance, and controls.
  • Conduct regular audits of roster accuracy and adherence to plan, highlighting variances and corrective actions.
  • Plan and optimize employee accommodation allocation in alignment with roster requirements, operational locations, and workforce deployment plans.
  • Monitor accommodation utilization, vacancy levels, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure timely allocation for new joiners, transfers, and roster-driven movement.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce accommodation costs through consolidation and optimized assignment.
  • Support scenario planning and “what-if” analysis for demand fluctuations and operational changes.
  • Support DP team with Deployment form & tracking deployment forms.


Innovation

  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements in workforce planning and scheduling practices.
  • Automate reporting, tracking, and validation processes where possible.
  • Leverage analytics tools to improve forecast-to-roster accuracy.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in workforce planning and scheduling optimization.
  • Support implementation of new tools, systems, or enhancements related to roster management.


Selection Criteria

  • 1 year+ of experience in a similar strategic planning role.
  • 2 years+ of experience in managing rosters and work schedules.
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and experience in budget management and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive innovation, and implement change effectively.
  • Strong understanding of UAE labor law.
