Job Description
The role supports a best-in-class BI platform designed to provide key information to hotel and corporate commercial teams and enable data-driven decision making. Responsibilities cover the full product cycle including data sourcing, cleaning, validation, building dashboards and reports, conducting training, troubleshooting and other user support.
Dashboard and report development
Build dashboards providing critical metrics and business intelligence
Continuously optimize user experience with reporting tools e.g. Tableau
Achieve operational efficiency by automating routine reporting requests
Provide reporting and analysis on top-line performance
Liaise with Central data teams to manage user on-boarding and maintain Tableau & Snowflake environments
Training & Support
Create and maintain documentation on all dashboards and reports
Monitor customer support inbox and promptly engage with users
Run webinars as needed on new dashboards, refreshers, FAQs, etc
Document user requirements for creating or enhancing reports
Data Collection and Governance
Source data from relevant sources including PMSs, RMS, outside benchmarking data vendors and others
Design & build data warehouse structures
Monitor regular data flows to ensure accuracy and completeness. Build data governance structures to quickly alert of discrepancies
Manage processes to correct data deficiencies as quickly as possible
Research and Analysis
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions – understanding requirements, designing methodology, presenting conclusions
Other Duties and Projects as Requested
Qualifications
Four year degree from an accredited University in Hospitality, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Analysis or a related field
3-5 years working experience in hospitality or data analysis
Min 3 years experience in Tableau
Min 3 years experience with databases like Snowflake
Familiarity with automation scripts eg. VBA, Power Automate, Bash
Professional Written and Verbal communication skills in English
