MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks within the scope of the A license and approval held, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carries out scheduled base maintenance (C-checks, modifications, repairs) on aircraft in accordance with approved documentation and procedures.
  • Carries out unscheduled base maintenance tasks including troubleshooting and defect rectification on aircraft in accordance with approved documentation and procedures.
  • Raises Parts Requests for defects as required, ensuring that all associated spares are ordered, and that AMOS is accurately updated.
  • Maintains currency on all Licenses and Authorizations issued by Regulatory Authorities and flydubai Compliance Monitoring Department, ensuring that currency is maintained.
  • Supports other flydubai maintenance events for example, line maintenance, minor maintenance and AOG recovery where the senior mechanic ensures that certification is carried out only within the limitations of the company-issued approval.
  • Guides and mentors mechanics ensuring all maintenance is carried out using the correct tools, equipment, and procedures as per the aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) and other approved documentation.
  • Ensures that all documentation including work cards, technical logs books, defect rectification and modifications are correctly completed IAW company policy, process and procedure.
  • Reports any issues affecting safety, quality, or performance to appropriate departments.
  • Promotes the SMS and ensure a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Promotes teamwork and clear communication between shifts, departments, and support functions to ensure efficient workflow and minimal disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree (2 years)
  • Must have completed a suitable level of basic training in aircraft maintenance and successfully completed a recognized course of instruction, such as an apprenticeship or diploma, in aircraft maintenance
  • Fluent in English
  • A minimum of 4 years experience working in aviation maintenance
  • Years with qualifications: 4 - 6 years
  • UAE GCAA (or FAA/ICAO equivalent) Category A license

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
