We are seeking a practical, site-oriented Project Agriculture Engineer to independently manage landscaping, vegetable garden, hydroponic, and indoor planting projects from initial client consultation through final project handover.
This role requires end-to-end operational ownership: conducting site inspections, analyzing technical feasibility, estimating materials, manpower, and project timelines prior to quotation, coordinating procurement, supervising labor teams, ensuring strict quality control, and managing client relations.
Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site visits to evaluate sunlight, shade, water availability, drainage, electrical needs, soil conditions, indoor environments, and logistics access.
Resource Estimation: Calculate accurate requirements for plants, pots, growing media, irrigation materials, hydroponic components, fertilizers, tools, equipment, and labor hours.
Feasibility & Scheduling: Identify technical challenges early, define a realistic project execution sequence, and provide reliable inputs for client quotations.
End-to-End Management: Oversee site preparation, material receiving, quality checks, soil conditioning, irrigation and hydroponic setup, and plant installation.
Labor Management: Supervise labor teams, assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, prevent unnecessary overtime, and maintain site discipline and cleanliness.
Quality Assurance: Continuously inspect workmanship, test irrigation and hydroponic systems (NFT, Dutch Buckets, DWC, towers), and resolve snags prior to client review.
Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate seamlessly with management, sales, procurement, agriculture teams, vendors, drivers, and subcontractors.
Client Communication: Maintain professional interaction, manage expectations, explain project timelines, and report scope changes immediately.
Daily Reporting: Submit detailed updates covering work completed, labor deployed, materials used, pending tasks, site photographs, risks, and next-day plans.
Handover: Execute thorough final inspections, verify plant health, complete sign-offs, and submit final completion reports.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Landscape Engineering, or Plant Science.
Practical proficiency in landscaping, vegetable garden installation, indoor plant setups, and hydroponic systems.
Hands-on knowledge of irrigation systems, fertigation, soil preparation, and pest/disease management.
Strong plant knowledge encompassing indoor, outdoor, landscape plants, vegetables, herbs, and shrubs.
Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material estimation, and labor scheduling.
Timelines: Project completion within committed schedules.
Accuracy: Precision in material, labor, and duration estimations.
Efficiency: Reduction in material wastage and optimization of labor productivity.
Quality: High plant survival rates, superior installation standards, and minimal snags or client complaints.
Communication: Timely daily reporting and professional client satisfaction.
