Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant (Arabic Speaking) to join our financial team and support our accounting department's daily operations. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accurate and up-to-date processing of financial data and documentation in both English and Arabic, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Your role is pivotal in assisting with accounts payable and receivable processes, handling petty cash transactions, and providing critical support to the senior accountants and financial team. Your fluency in Arabic will be essential for managing documentation and communication with our Arabic-speaking stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices and financial documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies.
  • Process and manage accounts payable and receivable activities efficiently and accurately.
  • Support the financial team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Reconcile bank statements and internal financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Translate financial documents and correspondence from English to Arabic and vice versa.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and summaries.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and providing necessary information.
  • Communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking stakeholders to resolve financial queries.
  • Perform data entry tasks with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department as required.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multilingual stakeholders and team members.
  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
