Job Description

The Accounts Assistant plays a crucial role in the financial operations of an organization. This position involves supporting the accounting team by performing tasks such as record-keeping, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping. The Accounts Assistant handles day-to-day tasks related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
  • Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable with precision and attention to detail.
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Perform data entry tasks and manage accounting information systems effectively.
  • Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide support during audits and assist with financial analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data as needed.
  • Help in maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries regularly.
  • Conduct clerical duties, including filing, mailing, and documentation management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar accounting role is required.
  • Proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage is essential.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
