Job Description

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in the finance department of an organization. You will be responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and records. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will handle day-to-day accounting procedures and financial tasks, coordinate invoices, and manage accounting entries, all while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. An ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a good aptitude for numbers, and a customer service orientation. Working closely with accountants and other financial professionals, your role is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Additionally, your ability to solve problems and think critically will significantly contribute to the overall financial operations' efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and maintain financial records accurately.
  • Manage data entry tasks ensuring all accounting entries are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Handle accounts payables and receivables promptly to maintain smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and perform reconciliations of monthly supplier statements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting systems and procedures.
  • Review and verify invoices and ensure timely payments are made to vendors.
  • Participate in the preparation of bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide administrative support and assist the accounting team with daily tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations in all accounting practices.
  • Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly financial reports as needed.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts to aid in financial planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the accounting department.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with the highest integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
