Job Description

As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and managing our financial records with precision and integrity. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, classified, and summarized in the company's accounts. Working closely with other finance professionals, you will contribute to the preparation of financial reports, assist with budgetary planning, and perform audits to ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be critical in interpreting financial data and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor financial performance against budget.
  • Analyze financial data to support business planning and decision-making processes.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit reviews.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely processing of payments.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Liaise with other departments to gather relevant financial information and insights.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes with precise documentation and reporting.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and records at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
