Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant with strong French accounting knowledge to support the finance function of an international organization based in Dubai. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting support, and compliance with French GAAP and UAE regulatory requirements.

This position works closely with the Senior Accountant, contributing to accurate financial records, timely closings, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Salary: AED 15,000

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities, including:
• Bookkeeping and journal entries
• Processing supplier invoices and employee expenses
• Bank reconciliations
• Account clearing and balance reviews
• Support accounts receivable monitoring and collection follow-ups
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations
• Support monthly and annual closings, including:
• Accrued expenses
• Deferred income
• Prepaid expenses
• Cut-off controls
• Provisions for doubtful debts
• Maintain the fixed asset register under supervision, including depreciation tracking
• Prepare financial statements and internal reports

Assist in ensuring compliance with:

• French GAAP
• UAE tax regulations, including VAT and Corporate Tax
• Support tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting
• Track cash flow movements and assist in updating forecasts
• Produce basic financial analysis, reports, and dashboards
• Contribute to accounting process improvements, data accuracy, and documentation
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to support finance operations

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 2–5 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role
• Knowledge of French GAAP is mandatory
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
• Experience working with accounting systems / ERP is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a structured and fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent in French and English
