Location: We hire with a focus on Dubai and Europe. For this role, we prefer candidates who are either based in Dubai or working remotely within +/- 4 hours GST time.

The Role

• The Accountant plays a key role in ensuring that all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal and external requirements. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, reconciliations, tax filings, and supporting audits. The Accountant provides essential inputs for financial reporting and planning, helping the company maintain transparency and efficiency. Working closely with the Senior Accountant and Financial Controller, this position also supports payroll, treasury, and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting Operations
• Record and reconcile transactions across fiat and crypto accounts
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation
• Maintain general ledger entries and journals
• Prepare monthly management accounts in line with deadlines
• 2. Tax & Regulatory Compliance
• Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns on time
• Assist in ensuring compliance with local and international tax rules
• Support corporate tax filings and transfer pricing documentation
• Liaise with external advisors on tax-related matters
• 3. Treasury & Payroll Support
• Support payroll preparation, including calculation of withholding taxes and social charges
• Assist in managing payments to employees, contractors, and vendors
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash balances
• Support in implementing new payroll and accounting tools
• 4. Audit & Controls
• Support external audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation
• Ensure transactions comply with internal approval and expense policies
• Participate in implementation of internal controls and validation processes
• Monitor and escalate compliance or control issues to management
• 5. Process Improvement
• Assist in automating payroll, reporting, and accounting workflows
• Contribute to optimization of financial instruments and reduction of costs
• Participate in cross-team initiatives to improve financial efficiency
• Support the Finance team in ad-hoc tasks and projects
  
  
  

Requirements

• 2–5 years of accounting experience in international or multi-entity environments
• Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local accounting principles
• Experience with reconciliations and management reporting
• Familiarity with VAT and tax filings
• Proficiency in accounting tools (e.g., Xero, SAP, or similar) and Excel
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
  
  
  

Nice to Have

• ACCA, CPA, or other relevant certifications (in progress or completed)
• Experience with crypto/digital asset accounting
• Exposure to treasury and cash management processes
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and automation tools
