Job Title: Accountant

Location: Sharjah/Dubai
Department: Finance / Accounts
Reports to: Finance Manager / CFO / COO

Job Purpose:

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with local regulations and company policies. The role contributes to effective financial management and decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and general accounts.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analysis.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and other regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial controls.
- Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements (if applicable).
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
