Job Description

As an Accountant specializing in reconciliation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our company's accounts. You will be responsible for reconciling financial records, identifying discrepancies, and working closely with other departments to resolve any issues. Your expertise in managing complex account reconciliations, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and providing insightful financial analyses will be essential in driving our financial success. Your contributions will support strategic decision-making processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.


Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed monthly reconciliations of financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies in account balances promptly.
  • Coordinate with various departments to obtain necessary information for accurate reconciliations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on reconciliation activities for senior management review.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of all reconciliation processes and outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of reconciliation procedures and policies.
  • Provide support during audits and assist in preparing audit schedules as required.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends or irregularities in reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the accounting and finance team.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance reconciliation tools and systems.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff in reconciliation processes and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting or reconciliation-focused role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in reconciliation tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant financial regulations is essential.
