We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic financial team. The successful candidate will handle the company's financial health by ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, preparing financial statements, and providing insightful recommendations. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and a high degree of accuracy. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, as well as exceptional leadership and management abilities. The Accountant will collaborate closely with various departments to track income and expenses, prepare budgets, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This is a crucial position in our finance department, contributing significantly to the company’s financial decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accurate financial records to ensure precise financial reporting.
• Prepare and manage profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents.
• Review and reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate cash flow tracking.
• Conduct audits, identify discrepancies, and implement effective corrective measures.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial and compliance audits.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments regarding budgeting and project costing processes.
• Assist in the development of internal financial policies and procedures for compliance.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities accurately and on time.
• Advise management on cost reduction measures and financial regulations adherence.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, financial regulations, and technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience within a corporate environment.
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in work deliverables.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
