BAT has an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive (ME) in Dubai

GTR Account Executive is required to plan, negotiate, and implement key initiatives that drive volume, market share growth and profitability in a defined portfolio of accounts in line with the GTR marketing strategy and guidelines, with the ambition of supporting BAT’s transforming “A Better Tomorrow” agenda.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Operational/Professional/Business

  • Support account manager to manage responsible accounts end to end operation and deliver volume, market share, and profit as per expectations.
  • Building and developing customer relationships.
  • Establish relationships with key account operational staffs.
  • Lead account plan execution and implementation.
  • Drive launch & execution of new categories. Work closely with account manager & activation team to ensure delivery of day to day operation OTIF.
  • Improve trade spend efficiency through our retail, distribution partners, and agencies.
  • Support consistent key accounts business reviews.
  • Support analysis & reporting of responsible markets and accounts.

Management, Leadership & Relationships

  • Provide development and mentor to indirect reports, ensure progression within the organisation.
  • Closely work with activation team in development of activation strategy and implementation to ensure delivery.
  • Drive understanding, two-way communication, and buy-in of travel retail account strategies with relevant internal business partners.
  • Collaborate closely with GTR cross functional team members to optimize business performance.
  • Ensure GTR governance and policies obligations are met.

What are we looking for?

  • 2–4 years of proven experience in trade marketing, sales, key account management, or business development within a multinational FMCG environment
  • Experience within Global Travel Retail (GTR) is advantageous
  • Strong solid knowledge of cross-functional teamwork, including Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, IT, Customer Service, Legal, HR, and agency management
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, with the ability to understand P&L, margins, pricing strategy, customer investment, and the commercial impact of regulatory requirements
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with proven experience in data analysis, forecasting, performance tracking, and insight generation to support business decision-making
  • Understanding of the nicotine sector regulatory environment, including tax & excise and customs-related requirements, and their impact on business operations
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English
  • Strong partner management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and work with diverse internal and external teams
  • Proven track record to influence without direct authority, handling multiple indirect partners
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with the resilience and grit to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and evolving business environment
  • Strong ownership attitude, with the ability to operate independently while remaining highly results-oriented
  • Solid negotiation skills, with experience handling customer and commercial discussions
