Job Description

The Valet Attendant position plays a crucial role in creating a first and lasting impression of the establishment. This role requires a polite, professional, and focused individual committed to providing exceptional customer service. As a Valet Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for guests as they arrive at the venue. You will be responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles efficiently, while ensuring the safety of the vehicles and the satisfaction of the guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, an ability to work under pressure, and a knack for handling vehicles of all types. A successful Valet Attendant will consistently demonstrate a welcoming demeanor and a willingness to go above and beyond for guests to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm smile and friendly demeanor upon arrival.
  • Efficiently and safely park guest vehicles in designated areas.
  • Quickly retrieve vehicles upon receiving requests from guests or management.
  • Maintain an organized and safe parking area throughout your shift.
  • Provide guests with assistance in loading and unloading luggage as needed.
  • Ensure keys are securely stored and managed during the parking process.
  • Regularly inspect and document any pre-existing vehicle damage upon parking.
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding directions and local area information.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to coordinate vehicle pickups and returns.
  • Assist in ensuring a clean and professional appearance of the valet area.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and courteously, escalating if needed.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of vehicle controls across various makes and models.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles proficiently.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and run short distances when needed.
  • Previous experience in a valet or similar customer service role is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the schedule.
