Sourcing Manager

The Role

The Sourcing Manager reports to the Director of Supply Chain for DF&H North America. You will partner with North America-based businesses within the Diversified Food and Health Division, on major sourcing and procurement activities. An excellent candidate for this position will be a leader through teamwork, organization, collaboration and influence. You will be a bridge between the site, regional procurement, and global category management teams, to improve performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. We are looking for a strategic and operational mindset — someone who can both define direction and through supplier management, cost optimization, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sites on sourcing savings programs to achieve annual gross and net savings targets
• Translate global and regional strategies and site specifics and priorities into division-specific sourcing strategy and plans and preferred suppliers
• Align sourcing programs with local our priorities
• Project manages major sourcing projects for category spends in machining, fabrications, electronics, and other categories through an excellent understanding of direct material and a focus on sourcing processes and execution.
• Support other regional and local sourcing activities with site leaders and work with buyers to promote best practices and policy discipline
• Lead division-level negotiations and contracting
• Identify regional cost-saving opportunities and successfully drive and execute on these
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) sourcing
• Supplier identification and preferred supplier development. Implement and monitor the Supplier Management process
• Assist site procurement leadership with savings and inflation reporting, capturing spend, optimizing global spend data warehouse to create insights that will drive improvements in cost, working capital and lead times, and identifying key areas of focus.

• Experience with various ERP systems, proficiency in JDE preferred and experience with e-procurement tools

Education And Experience

• Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years in strategic and operational sourcing and procurement, in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience leading others and managing supplier relationships and supply chain projects in a technical environment
• Comfortable working in multicultural, cross-functional organizations
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
  
  

Travel & Location

• This position is remote with 50%-60% travel primarily across United States
• Must have passport and ability to travel internationally if required
  
  

Compensation

• Annual Salary Range: $105,000 - $145,000, compensation will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
