Sound Designer

A sound designer is required to create a cinematic and atmospheric soundscape for the teaser trailer of the short film Phase 1: Encounter. The film follows an infiltrator working undercover at the high-tech company Skyreach Holdings to uncover the classified Project Sky. The teaser trailer must capture the dark, mysterious, and suspenseful sci-fi tone through immersive sound design. An audio reference can be provided to guide the creative direction. This is a one-off, remote project expected to be completed within one to two days.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cinematic sound design for film trailers, short films, or similar media
• Strong ability to create atmospheric, ambient soundscapes that enhance narrative tension
• Proficiency with professional audio design software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Reaper, or similar)
• Knowledge of layering, spatial design, and sound effects to build immersive sci-fi environments
• Ability to work from provided references and adapt creatively to align with the director’s vision
• Reliable communication and availability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines
• Remote availability with access to a professional sound production setup
