The role of Solution Engineer is positioned exactly at the intersection of business and IT. You ensure that wishes, ideas, and bottlenecks from within the organization are translated into concrete, working solutions. You analyze requirements, convert them into clear user stories and specifications, and safeguard the quality of delivered outcomes.

You are closely involved in managing releases and hotfixes and ensure that new functionalities are properly tested, implemented, and documented. You also look beyond today: actively contributing ideas on automation, scalability, and continuous improvement of our applications and processes.

You work closely with colleagues from Operations, Finance, HR, Sales, and IT, and coordinate with suppliers and other stakeholders. Thanks to your overview, analytical skills, and communication style, you create alignment and support. You are given plenty of room to work independently, take ownership, and help build the digital future of Van den Bosch.

Your Responsibilities:

• Analyzing business needs and translating them into user stories and functional/technical specifications;
• Designing solutions and ensuring smooth integration into existing systems and processes;
• Managing releases and hotfixes, including acceptance and regression testing;
• Validating developed solutions during demos and scoping sessions;
• Identifying improvement opportunities and initiating optimizations and automation;
• Creating documentation and providing training for end users;
• Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve results.
  
  

• A completed bachelor’s degree in IT, (Industrial) Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable field;
• At least 3 years of experience in solution engineering, business analysis, or IT project roles;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly explain complex issues;
• Good command of the English language;
• A structured, results-driven way of working with a strong sense of ownership;
• The ability to easily switch between different departments and organizational levels.
