Site Engineer

Role Purpose

To manage on-site installation and execution of joinery and fitout works, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules and specifications. 

• Site Execution 
• Supervise the installation of joinery and fitout works on site in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. 
• Coordinate with foremen and subcontractors to manage daily site activities. 
• Quality Control 
• Inspect completed works against specifications; identify and rectify defects and snags. 
• Ensure materials delivered to site meet quality requirements. 
• Progress Monitoring 
• Track site progress against the project schedule; report delays and propose recovery plans. 
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager. 
• Health & Safety 
• Enforce health and safety regulations on site; conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings. 
• Report incidents and near-misses promptly. 
• Coordination 
• Coordinate with other trades (MEP, civil, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow and resolve conflicts. 
• Manage material requests and deliveries to site. 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design 

• Minimum 3-5 years of site experience in the joinery, fitout, or construction industry 

• Knowledge of joinery installation methods, materials, and finishing standards 

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications 

• Good communication and coordination skills 

• Physically fit and willing to work on construction sites
