Senior Project Engineer

1. Job Summary

Anglo Eastern Industries FZE is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Project Engineer to manage and coordinate project execution activities related to structural steel fabrication, welding, surface preparation, blasting, painting, and coating. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, progress monitoring, technical coordination, quality compliance, resource management, and timely project delivery in accordance with client requirements and project specifications.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate project execution activities, including structural steel fabrication, welding, blasting, painting, and coating.
• Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, QA/QC, procurement, HSE, subcontractors, clients, and consultants.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and project documents.
• Ensure all project activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, inspection requirements, and client expectations.
• Monitor manpower deployment, material availability, productivity, resource utilization, and project costs.
• Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor activities, and production requirements to avoid project delays.
• Identify technical issues, execution challenges, and potential delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections, quality checks, and approvals with QA/QC teams, clients, and third-party inspectors.
• Monitor surface preparation, blasting, painting, and coating activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Conduct project coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding technical and operational issues.
• Monitor project risks, schedule variations, and resource requirements, and report critical issues to management.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable project standards.
• Support project handover, final documentation, and project closeout activities.

3. Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in project engineering, project management, or project execution.
• Strong experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, and painting/coating activities.
• Previous experience in industrial fabrication, steel structures, construction, EPC, oil & gas, or heavy engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication methods, welding processes, and production workflows.
• Good understanding of surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, coating systems, and related inspection activities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and resource management.
• Strong coordination skills across multiple departments and project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is preferred.
• PMP certification will be an added advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements.
