Job Description

The Safety Advisor will ensure that all operations and worksites across the UAE comply with national safety standards and the organization’s internal HSE framework. This role requires a vigilant professional capable of anticipating risks before they become incidents. The advisor will serve as a key link between management, employees, and regulatory authorities to foster a proactive, safety-first culture that protects people, assets, and the environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s HSE management system in accordance with UAE safety regulations.

  • Conduct site safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

  • Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized training sessions for staff and subcontractors.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant UAE legal and statutory requirements under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and local municipality standards.

  • Investigate and document all incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring prompt corrective and preventive measures.

  • Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure safety standards are integrated into daily operations.

  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation including inspection records, training logs, and safety reports.

  • Support the preparation of emergency response plans and conduct periodic drills.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability through coaching and awareness programs.

  • Liaise with external auditors, government inspectors, and clients during safety audits or reviews.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in an HSE or safety advisory role within the UAE.

  • In-depth understanding of UAE federal safety regulations, Civil Defense standards, and local authority requirements.

  • NEBOSH IGC certification or equivalent qualification (mandatory).

  • Proven experience in risk assessment, accident investigation, and safety performance monitoring.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities with a commitment to teamwork and safety excellence.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.
