As a Restaurant Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests,
managing reservations, and assisting in various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the
restaurant.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greeting and Seating:
• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system and ensure accurate seating arrangements.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient flow of guests to optimize seating capacity.
• Address and resolve inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
Reservation Management:
• Take and record reservations over the phone, via email, or in-person.
• Confirm reservations and communicate special requests to the service staff.
Customer Service:
• Provide information to guests about the restaurant's offerings, menu items, and special promotions.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues or complaints in a courteous manner.
Communication:
• Effectively communicate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Relay important information to guests, such as wait times and special announcements.
Administrative support:
• Assist with various administrative tasks, including photocopying, faxing, filing, and data entry and
proofreading and printing the menus.
• Manage and maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
• Assist in administrative tasks, including managing the reservation book, updating customer databases,
and handling paperwork.
• Coordinate with the restaurant management team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Upselling:
• Promote special menu items, promotions, and events to guests.
• Upsell additional services, such as private dining options or special packages.
• Conduct cold calls to engage potential customers and promote the venue.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of events, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
Menu Knowledge:
• Have a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods,
and recommendations, in order to provide detailed explanations and suggestions to guests.
Problem Resolution:
• Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive
overall dining experience.
• To respond quickly and positively to changes within your job role and showing flexibility.
Hygiene and Safety:
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Upscale Dining Etiquette:
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, decorum, and knowledge of fine dining etiquette to enhance the
guest experience.
