We are seeking a Project Planner to join our Rail team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will support the planning, scheduling, reporting, and performance monitoring of major rail and transportation design projects, ensuring effective project controls and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules for rail and transportation design projects.
Track project progress, milestones, deliverables, and resource utilization.
Prepare project reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for project leadership and clients.
Support project managers in forecasting, risk identification, and schedule recovery plans.
Analyze project data and trends to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.
Utilize advanced Excel tools to develop reporting templates, trackers, and automated workflows.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure alignment of project schedules and deliverables.
Support the implementation of Power BI dashboards and process automation initiatives to streamline planning and reporting activities.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
5–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within major design, infrastructure, transportation, or rail projects.
Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering consultancy environments.
Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and reporting practices.
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or rail projects is highly desirable.
Skills & Knowledge
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, and data analysis.
Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting is highly preferred.
Knowledge of automation tools and process improvement techniques to streamline project reporting and controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
