Job Description: Project Engineer (High-Rise Buildings)

Location: UAE (Project Site-based)

Reporting to: Project Manager

Role Objective

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the technical execution, on-site coordination, and day-to-day management of high-rise building activities. As a key link between the design and construction phases, you will ensure that the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and in strict adherence to quality and safety standards mandated by UAE authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Execution: Oversee all on-site civil works for high-rise structures, including deep foundations, core walls, post-tensioning, and complex structural elements.
• Technical Coordination: Review and verify shop drawings, structural designs, and MEP coordination drawings to ensure constructability and resolve any clashes before execution.
• Subcontractor Management: Manage and monitor the performance of subcontractors and site foremen to ensure work aligns with the project master schedule.
• Progress Tracking: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Identify potential delays and implement recovery plans to maintain the Baseline Schedule.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure all works meet the Approved Method Statements and Quality Control procedures. Maintain a "Zero Harm" safety culture on-site in compliance with OSHAD/Dubai Municipality standards.
• Material Management: Coordinate with the procurement team for the timely delivery of materials and ensure proper inspection (MIR) upon arrival.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil construction.
• Specific Expertise: Proven track record of successfully completing High-Rise Building projects (G+30 and above) with a Main Contractor.
• Location: Must be currently based in the UAE with a deep understanding of local building codes and authority regulations (DM, DDA, Civil Defense, etc.).
• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
• Strong knowledge of concrete technology and structural steel.
• Attributes: Exceptional leadership skills, ability to manage large labor forces, and strong communication skills in English.
