Job Summary:

In the role of Production Supervisor, you are responsible for leading warehouse and material handling operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of inbound and outbound logistics activities. The Production Supervisor will work across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other teams to leverage data-driven insights, drive process improvements, foster innovation, and deliver measurable results for the organization.

For this role, your responsibilities will be:

Enhance the safety culture to create a safe work environment for our employees

  • Provide leadership in setting expectations for a safe warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Drive safety improvements across warehouse operations.
  • Ensure safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Conduct safety audits for warehouse racks, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Promote adherence to Emerson's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to warehouse and logistics operations.

Implementation and Adherence to Quality Policies and Operational Standards

  • Ensure inbound materials are received, inspected, and documented accurately.
  • Support incoming quality inspection activities by making materials available to the Quality team.
  • Ensure warehouse procedures and work instructions are current, documented, and followed.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper storage, labeling, and system transactions.
  • Support investigations related to material discrepancies, damages, and customer concerns.
  • Work closely with Quality and Supply Chain teams to drive continuous operational improvements.

Performance Analysis to Support Business Needs

  • Organize warehouse resources to optimize productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor warehouse performance metrics, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
  • Report departmental performance and operational trends to leadership.
  • Mentor and coach team members by providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
  • Maintain training records and competency requirements for warehouse personnel.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for workflow improvements and waste reduction.

Coordinate Warehouse Activities to Achieve Service and Delivery Objectives

  • Coordinate inbound receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Ensure timely booking, labeling, and allocation of storage locations for materials.
  • Support inter-BU transfers and demo material movements.
  • Coordinate material segregation activities for internal and third-party inspections.
  • Ensure outbound shipments are packed, labeled, and loaded in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability and on-time deliveries.
  • Support warehouse organization, housekeeping initiatives, and special operational projects.
  • Performs Other Duties and Responsibilities as Assigned
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For this role, you will need:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, material handling, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and material flow processes.
  • Valid forklift operating certification or demonstrated forklift operating experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related professional certification.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices.
  • Lean, Continuous Improvement, or 5S certification.
