Job Description

Perform the full range of journey level plumbing duties such as installing, repairing, and modifying water supply, sewage disposal, gas distribution, oil lines, and similar utility systems and equipment for base facilities.

Operational

• Assembles, installs and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes-Study building plans and drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools, cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine, bends pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine, or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand .
• Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic .
• Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains, and may weld holding fixtures to steel structural members .
• Ensures work orders when complete are properly filled out and returned to work managementSupports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence.
  
  

• Confers with officials on proposed plumbing projects and makes recommendations.
  
  

• PREFERRED : Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship.

• Problem-solving Skills.
• They are versed in identifying plumbing problems and providing solutions to resolve such issues.
  
  

• PREFERRED : Relevant Experience in UAE or Gulf preferred.
• MINIMUM : Relevant Experience 2-3 Yrs.
