Operational Risk Manager in our office in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor and report on all operational risks.
• Engage positively across the business to support Equiti Group to drive a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide robust challenge to the business to develop and strengthen operational risk management and controls.
• Monitor all operational risks in accordance with the enterprise strategy and enterprise risk appetite.
• Prepare materials to facilitate risk discussions.
• Conduct periodic assessment reviews on risks and controls environment identify trends & material operational risk issues.
• Identify and recommend improvements for the management of operational risks and the control environment.
• Collaborate in an open & transparent manner with colleagues, peers and 3rd parties.
• Contribute regular reviews of the risk framework conducting statistical analyses to quantify & support operational risks.
• Maintain and reviews the Operational Risk Policies and Procedures.
• Develop the firms internal risk incident reporting framework.
• Maintain the operational Risk Register in conjunction with other areas of the firm; both local & global
• Monitor the progress of risk mitigation activities.
• Work in a seamless manner across functions & jurisdictions for the benefit of the wider Equiti Group
• Establish sufficient & relevant lines of communication between senior managers and business teams.
• Assist with employee awareness and understanding of operational risk management as well as how their actions & efforts contribute to operational risk management.]
• Deliver insightful, accurate & timely reports.

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a financial discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Risk related qualification e.g., IRM, FRM advantageous, but not necessary.
• 5+ years of experience in operational risk.
• Experience of a range of risk management control frameworks.
• Microsoft Office skills (Excel; PowerPoint).
