Network Planning Manager

Job Purpose

As Network Planning Manager, you will Support the strategic evaluation of new route opportunities and ongoing network performance to drive profitable growth for Emirates. Provide expert analysis on route economics, competitive landscapes, and capacity deployment to enhance the airlines commercial performance.

Collaborate across departments while building professional relationships internally and externally to support Emirates strategic network development objectives.

In This Role, You Will

• Conduct comprehensive economic evaluations of new route options, independently assessing business risks including demand forecasting, competitive landscape analysis, and financial exposures, supporting profitable network growth and aligning decisions with Emirates strategic objectives.
• Continuously monitor and review route network performance to identify both profitability challenges and growth opportunities, providing management with data-driven recommendations to enhance underperforming routes and capitalize on market potential through strategic adjustments to routings, scheduling, or capacity deployment.
• Improve network forecasting and modelling through effective usage and calibration of network planning systems, contributing to more accurate demand predictions and optimized route performance analyses.
• Develop and calibrate detailed cost analyses for route studies, including operating costs, fixed costs, and other financial considerations to ensure accurate profitability assessments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate information sharing, while strategically influencing key partners to implement network planning changes through effective communication and collaborative problem-solving.
• Provide cross-departmental support by delivering comprehensive, relevant and timely network planning inputs for strategic business initiatives and projects across Emirates.
• Develop and maintain external industry connections through effective networking to remain updated on developments impacting the aviation industry, enhance research quality and share best practices that could benefit Emirates network strategy.
  
  

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or Honours with 8+ years experience in Commerical/Sales. Route Planning
• Masters degree in Air Transport Management, Aviation Management or other equivalent qualification such as Economics, Engineering, etc
  
  

Knowledge/skills

• Experience with airline network planning software (e.g. Sabre AirVision or Lufthansa Netline Plan) would be a significant advantage. Experience working with partner airlines will be an advantage.
