Music Composer

An accomplished orchestral composer is required to create two original, one-minute pieces for a private wedding in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The first composition will serve as a romantic and graceful processional, while the second will provide a joyful and celebratory recessional. The musical style should be inspired by the Italian romantic opera tradition—particularly reminiscent of the Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana—and incorporate subtle Middle Eastern influences, including oud motifs for a Saudi touch and trumpet elements for Jordanian accents. The pieces will be performed in an intimate, outdoor luxury setting for approximately 40 guests. Deliverables include two fully orchestrated and scored tracks, each up to one minute, in high-quality audio format (MIDI or live). The work can be completed remotely, with a project timeline of up to eight weeks.

Requirements

• Proven track record in orchestral composition, preferably with cultural fusion experience.
• Strong understanding of Italian romantic opera styles and orchestration techniques.
• Ability to incorporate Middle Eastern instruments and motifs seamlessly into orchestral arrangements.
• Proficiency in producing high-quality, fully orchestrated audio (MIDI or live recordings).
• Capacity to deliver accurate, professional scores alongside the final audio.
• Excellent communication skills to discuss and refine creative direction.
• Availability to complete both pieces within an eight-week timeframe.
• Portfolio samples demonstrating relevant orchestral and cross-cultural compositions.
