Job Description
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s logistics department, ensuring that all logistical needs are met efficiently and on time. The role involves coordinating shipping, transportation, and inventory activities while collaborating closely with internal teams to achieve operational goals. The coordinator will monitor logistics performance, implement process improvements, and ensure smooth execution of daily operations across all logistics functions, supporting overall business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination with the Sales and Operation team for all upcoming confirmed Outbounds
Responsible for Requesting Quotations to multiple Freight forwarders , as per the requirement from Sales and Operations (e.g. Container/Truck Size, Transit Time , Price Etc.)
Providing feedback of Rates and Transit time to Sales Team (Min 3 Different Quotes)
Receiving Confirmation from Sales team to proceed with the booking
Confirming the booking with the Freight Forwarder and requesting for MT Release
Responsible to provide Shipping Instructions (Ship to, Consignee) to the Freight Forwarder to initiate booking
Provide MT Release to Operations Team / 3PL Warehouse
Ensure follow up is done on all MT Release received from forwarders (if any changes or delays on inbound vessels)
Suggest alternate shipping methods, schedules and pricing according to the market trends to improve efficiency on every shipment.
Arranging Local delivery schedules for Pick-up (Driver, Truck Details Etc.)
Developing and maintaining relationships with all Freight Forwarders to ensure they deliver high quality services at competitive prices
Responsible for handling cancellation of shipment (Unforeseen circumstances) upon receiving confirmation from the Sales or Operations Team.
Coordinate with our Insurance department any shipping incident that might take place during transit, making sure agree Incoterms are meet
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management Or Equivalent.
Provable and relevant working experience.
Language English (Written & Verbal)
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Experience in ERP Systems
