Land Surveyor

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join one of the key Metro project developments. This role will be part of a PMC/OwnersEngineer. The PMC surveyor shall ensure the survey works carried out by Contractor by verifying the survey works at project site with key responsibilities as listed below. The role expects prior metro rail experience or similar projects. Experience working in stations, tunnelling etc is preferred.

Your role

• Witness the contractors land and topographical surveys for metro alignment, stations, and associated infrastructure.
• Verify the proper use of equipment including GPS and laser scanning equipment to collect accurate data.
• Ensure proper control points and benchmarks are established for construction activities.
• Ensure that the contractors are producing detailed survey reports, drawings, and digital models with ample information are captured for the engineering teams.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, design teams, and contractors to ensure alignment accuracy.
• Monitor and verify construction progress against design specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations are adhered and in accordance with the client requirement.
• Appropriate knowledge of maintenance and calibration of surveying instruments regularly.
  
  

About You

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Geomatics or equivalent.
• Experience: 5-8 years in land surveying, with at least 2 years on metro/rail or large infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of geospatial data and metro alignment principles would be useful.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environments.
• Prior experience working in the middle east or UAE would be a plus.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
