Role Overview

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for two Joiners to join our Empty Homes team on a permanent basis.

Our Empty Homes team takes properties that are currently vacant and gets them back to a high standard, so they can become someone’s home again. Every property you work on makes a real difference to local communities, so come and join us to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery repairs and improvements, taking pride in doing the job right first time, and helping us get homes ready quickly for new customers.
• Ensure our homes meet the highest standards for our customers. We’ll provide you with a company van, fuel card, tools and any PPE you’ll need for the role.
• Jobs are planned for you by our Work Planners so you can concentrate on carrying out repairs to a high standard, ensuring ‘right first time’ wherever possible.
• Work primarily in the Tees Valley area (Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough), with occasional travel beyond. You’ll have a fixed shift pattern of 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Wednesday.
• Contribute to our ‘TradePlus’ scheme, acquiring diverse skills to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  
  

About You

• Experience as a Joiner and you’ll hold NVQ level 3 in Joinery.
• Skilled in general semi-skilled works and eager to assist in various trades.
• Must possess a valid UK driving licence.
• Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We use mobile and hand-held devices to allocate jobs and for you to record your completion of work.
• A commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
• We’d particularly be interested in hearing from female applicants.
