Interior Design Manager

ATI is looking for a full-time Interior Design Manager to join its Dubai Studio.

The Role

As an Interior Design Manager, you will lead the interior design process, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You should be highly organized and experienced and possess strong communication, technical, and leadership skills to successfully manage project delivery and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the interior design team across all project stages, from concept development through site execution, while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment at ATI.
• Manage workflows across concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation phases, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project delivery.
• Serve as the primary client contact, presenting design proposals, managing expectations, and ensuring all deliverables align with project briefs, brand guidelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop and review interior design concepts, space plans, FF&E schemes, material selections, and 3D visualizations, ensuring all outputs reflect the approved design intent.
• Oversee the production of comprehensive construction drawing packages and specifications, conducting quality reviews prior to submission to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with UAE and applicable international codes and standards.
• Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration of interior design with building systems and engineering requirements.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors by evaluating material samples, reviewing technical specifications, and overseeing quality throughout the procurement, production, and installation phases.
• Drive project delivery by managing project programmes, milestones, budgets, and team resources, proactively resolving technical and design challenges to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Stay up to date with design trends, emerging materials, technologies, and industry best practices, incorporating relevant innovations into ATI's design approach.
• Ensure all project documentation, specifications, approvals, and as-built records are accurately maintained and handed over to support procurement and site execution.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor and preferably Post Graduate Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 18+ years of experience in interior design within a high-profile design consultancy, with experience in the design and delivery of complex projects.
• 8+ years of relevant consultancy experience in the UAE.
• Proven track record supported by a strong portfolio of completed projects, preferably including high-rise, mixed-use, residential, commercial, hospitality, educational, and high-end luxury developments.
• Sound knowledge of UAE and international (UK and US) building codes and standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of concept design, design development, space planning, material selection, FF&E coordination, construction detailing, and luxury interior design.
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and 3D visualization tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, client-facing, leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
