General Foreman

The General Foreman - Civil is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily civil construction activities, managing multiple work crews, and ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, timelines, and budget. The role involves coordinating with planners, engineers, and project managers, monitoring site progress, resolving work-related issues, enforcing safety and quality procedures, preparing progress reports, and supporting the technical evaluation and development of site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop junior staff members.
• Coordinate with planner and schedule work for multiple construction crews.
• Monitor progress and quality of work across different areas.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and budget.
• Resolve issues and conflicts that arise between crews of different trades.
• Communicate regularly with project managers and stakeholders.
• Enforce and communicate safety measures and quality control procedures to subordinates.
• Prepare and submit site activities progress reports to Project Management.
• Assists engineers in the technical evaluation of workers on site. 

Qualifications

• Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Civil or Construction-related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, including at least 3 years in supervisory or foreman role
• Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred
