The Foreman – MEP is responsible for supervising and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing construction activities on-site, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. The role supports site engineers in managing workforce productivity and maintaining effective coordination among all project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily MEP construction activities on-site.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, company procedures, and project requirements.
Enforce site safety rules, regulations, and HSE standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Schedule, allocate, and monitor daily tasks and workforce assignments to achieve project milestones and deadlines.
Prepare daily work plans and coordinate the required manpower, materials, tools, and equipment with Site Engineers and Project Engineers.
Monitor work progress and workmanship quality, ensuring compliance with project quality standards and specifications.
Identify and resolve site-related issues, conflicts, and operational challenges to minimize delays and disruptions.
Coordinate and communicate site activities with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and other project stakeholders.
Liaise regularly with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and Construction Managers regarding progress, resource requirements, and project concerns.
Monitor material usage and report shortages or discrepancies to the relevant supervisor.
Maintain site housekeeping and ensure work areas remain organized and compliant with safety standards.
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and other site documentation as required.
Assist in site inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and handover processes.
Lead and supervise workers and tradesmen to ensure productivity, discipline, and adherence to site procedures.
Provide guidance, instruction, and on-the-job coaching to site personnel. Assist Engineers in the technical evaluation and performance assessment of workers on-site.
Monitor workforce attendance, productivity, and work quality, reporting concerns to the relevant supervisor.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive working environment among site personnel.
Qualifications
Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction-related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
