The Food Service Supervisor – Cafeteria is responsible for implementing and driving sales plans for Cafeteria customers. This includes setting and achieving monthly sales targets, managing sales performance, and ensuring the efficient routing of assignments. The role involves fostering strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Description
Customers Relationship Management:
Develop Business Plans (JBPs) to acquire Cafeteria business and to drive sales and growth in profitability.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure complete satisfaction.
Maintain an up-to-date list of existing and potential customers in the area, regularly reviewing and updating this list.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business and loyalty.
Prospect and acquire new customers through networking, cold calling, and lead generation activities.
Understand the unique needs of each client, offering tailored solutions and products to meet those needs.
Sales Strategies & Market Trends
Regularly communicate with the sales team to update them on sales progress, market trends, and competitive activities in the region.
Ensure all required sales, activity, and settlement reports are prepared accurately and on time.
Implement and follow up on the company’s promotional campaigns within the region to ensure successful execution.
Monitor market trends and competitors’ marketing activities, providing insights to enhance competitiveness and inform strategy.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, quotas, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure that products are prominently displayed within stores and that MSL SKUs are effectively distributed.
Driving Sales Team Performance
Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales team members, ensuring that targets are being met.
Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance sales team performance.
Provide training and continuous support to the sales team, helping them improve sales techniques and achieve their goals.
Ensure regular feedback and performance assessments to keep the team motivated and aligned with the company’s objectives.
Stock Levels & Logistics Management
Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained across all Cafeterais, preventing stockouts or overstock situations.
Work closely with the demand team to ensure availability of safety stock and avoid any disruptions in supply.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of orders to all customers.
Cost Control & Financial Management
Control market damage, product expirations, and returns through effective stock rotation and placement.
Ensure effective management of warehouse stock aging to avoid product wastage.
Rationalize sales costs, optimizing routes and transportation expenses to maintain profitability.
Oversee the collection process according to company financial and sales policies, ensuring compliance with credit policies.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Academic and professional qualifications:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Fluent in English and Arabic or Hindi
Culinary certification a plus
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in an F&B or Food Service distribution role, looking after Cafeteria;s Business in the UAE market.
Proven experience managing Cafeterias within the food service industry.
