Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To provide technical expertise on all Flight Operations Engineering aspects, including aircraft performance, weight and balance, Minimum Equipment List, Aircraft Performance Monitoring, Operations Manuals, fuel conservation, and operating cost optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assesses and actions performance related NOTAMs to ensure operational accuracy and compliance
  • Monitors and updates the airport database to support performance calculations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assesses flight operations engineering elements of new airports to identify and highlight any potential constraints.
  • Designs and validates engine out procedures to optimise take-off and landing performance.
  • Provides specialised technical advice and assistance on all aspects of flight operations engineering.
  • Drafts performance related documentation, ensuring all relevant updates are captured and published with all supporting material.
  • Ensures that all flight operations engineering procedures are compliant, optimised, and updated.
  • Updates the ‘Weight and Balance’ documents and ‘Departure Control System’, including aircraft reweighs and new interior configuration.
  • Assists in the maintenance and update of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL).
  • Provides analysis and guidance on any aircraft performance related non normal procedures, or dispatch under MEL items.
  • Conducts aircraft performance, weight and balance, and Boeing OPT staff training.
  • Provides key input and support for fleet and route evaluations, taking into account regulatory compliance and aircraft performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
  • Degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
  • Experience in an airline or manufacturer Flight Operations Engineering role required. Experience of freighter W&B preferred. Boeing 787 knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Years with qualifications: 7 - 9 years

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
