About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Spa & Wellness Department in Dubai, the Fitness & Wellness Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall membership programs, fitness & wellness colleagues, complimentary guest activities and private wellness programs. In addition, the Fitness & Wellness Manager is to maintain all operations aspects of all fitness & wellness facilities. Fitness & Wellness Manager reports to Director of Spa & Wellness.

As a Fitness & Wellness Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure adherence to all corporate policies, SOPs, LQE/MOQA/Forbes standards, and HR strategic guidelines. Support, monitor, and document learning, development, and training initiatives while keeping matrices and job descriptions updated.
  • Oversee daily Spa & Wellness operations, including pools, fitness centres, and the kids club. Manage fitness assessments, member programs, bookings, and wellness activities, acting as the primary contact for corporate groups.
  • Conduct monthly team meetings, support colleague development and career progression, manage recruitment, scheduling, and training, and ensure adherence to disciplinary procedures and People & Culture policies.
  • Assist in budget preparation, analyse financial reports, complete monthly inventories, and collaborate on incentive programs to support business growth and opportunities.
  • Address guest complaints, coordinate health consultations, and deliver personalized wellness programs while maintaining safety, service quality, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and promote fitness and wellness programs, support marketing initiatives, attend industry events, and maintain accurate SOPs, systems, and administrative documentation for operational efficiency.

As a Fitness & Wellness Manager, we expect from you:

  • Higher education required, preferably with a focus on sport or fitness management.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with prior 5‑star hotel experience essential; Middle East experience is considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to work confidently with digital tools and systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to understand and respond to guest needs independently, supported by clear verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to conduct personal training sessions and design tailored membership programs.
  • Detail‑oriented and well‑organised, with strong multitasking abilities.
