Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. The candidate must have strong Snowflake fundamentals with the ability to debug Python scripts while handling major incidents, pipeline failures, and production support through tools like Autosys, IBM Sterling Integrator, ServiceNow, and JIRA.

Rate Range: $66/hour to $69/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Support, monitor, and troubleshoot end‑to‑end data pipelines built on Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery.
• Debug and maintain Python scripts, Unix shell jobs, and SQL/PLSQL processes used across data ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Manage and monitor batch scheduling and file transfers using tools such as Autosys and IBM Sterling Integrator.
• Handle production issues and major incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively during incident management and operational reviews.
• Track, update, and resolve issues using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA while adhering to SLA requirements.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data pipeline support, or related roles.
• Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python debugging, and end‑to‑end data pipeline architecture.
• Strong production support experience with scheduling, file transfer, and incident management tools such as Autosys, IBM Sterling Integrator, ServiceNow, and JIRA.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $69.00 per hour
