The Recipe for Success: Role Summary
As part of Le Creuset’s dynamic Demand Forecasting team, you will play an essential role in the Supply Chain process for Le Creuset of America. You will oversee and be responsible for all demand forecasting for every channel of the business, Wholesale, Retail Brick & Mortar, and Ecommerce. Your management of these areas will play a key role in shaping how Le Creuset of America can achieve short- and long-term growth objectives. You will partner with several departments including sales, merchandising, supply planning, marketing, and finance to gather all necessary information to generate and consolidate informed demand forecasts. You will also work hand in hand with the Supply Planning team to understand constraints to supply and how that may impact demand forecasts.
Ingredients: Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee all demand forecasts down to item, customer, and channel with the support of the demand forecasting team.
- Generate monthly historical sales information by item, customer, and channel in a collaborative format that Sales, Merchandising and Marketing teams can review to help shape their forecast values.
- In Planning software Logility, the Demand Forecasting Manger & team will be responsible for generating and maintaining system generated sales forecasts to provide to Marketing, Sales, and Merchandising for review (in addition to historical information). Anticipating seasonality and demand influencing events.
- Guide and drive the process in developing seasonal demand forecasts. You should be a key partner to Marketing, Sales, and Merchandising counterparts while understanding that Sales/Merchandising ultimately owns the forecasts.
- Manage all changes to the demand forecast and provide an informed perspective on those requested changes.
- Establish and track KPIs for Demand Forecasting department that will drive improvements in the forecasting process. KPIs will include but are not limited to Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias.
Lead the Demand Forecasting department in the monthly S&OP process.
- Lead preparation and summary of Demand Plans in the monthly S&OP process, including pre & Exec level meetings. This includes driving improvements to further maturity of process.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Merchandising for timely review of the rolling 12-month unconstrained & constrained demand forecast.
- Generate consolidated roll ups of demand plans to present to the Executive team for consensus.
- Work in tandem with Supply Planning Manager to understand all constraints to supply and help prioritize needs.
- Identify disputes that need Executive level attention.
- Manage all revisions to demand forecasts based on supply constraints and/or outcomes of the monthly S&OP meeting.
- Liaise with Finance department post monthly S&OP meeting to provide final demand forecasts which will drive ultimate financial forecast.
Lead the development and growth of the Demand Forecasting department.
- Create new processes and ways of working that maximize efficiency with the tools at hand, and foster collaboration and communication between each segment of the business.
- Mentor and train other Demand Planner(s) in a developing department where responsibilities and request will be ever evolving.
- Manage the many projects and various duties of the team to ensure that deadlines are met, and product of work maintains at the highest level of accuracy.
- Working with Logility Business Process Owner to ensure we are leveraging all aspects of the Forecasting tool as they are meant to be used.

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of proven experience in Demand Forecasting
- Advanced Power BI Skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-channel environment
- Extensive cross-functional and collaborative expertise with a focus on influencing and alignment
- Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills required)
- The ability to establish, build and improve processes from the ground up
- Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment with high attention to detail
- Self-starter attitude with desire to develop and improve processes
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to sit and work at computer for prolonged periods of time
- College degree required
