Chief Technology Officer

We are partnering with a leading media organisation undergoing an exciting phase of digital growth and transformation. We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology strategy, innovation agenda, and digital platform evolution across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and execute the organisation's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long term growth plans

- Lead the development and optimisation of digital products, content platforms, mobile applications, websites, and customer facing technologies

- Drive innovation across areas such as AI, data analytics, cloud platforms, automation, and digital content delivery

- Oversee technology operations, software engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture, and platform reliability

- Lead large scale digital transformation initiatives that enhance audience engagement, operational efficiency, and revenue growth

- Partner closely with executive leadership, editorial, commercial, product, and operational teams to deliver technology solutions that support business success

- Build and develop high performing technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

- Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships

Requirements

- Proven experience as a CTO, Technology Director, VP Technology, or senior technology leader within a media, broadcasting, digital content, publishing, streaming, or consumer digital business

- Strong background leading software engineering, architecture, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital product teams

- Experience delivering large scale digital transformation and modernisation programmes

- Strong understanding of content management systems, digital platforms, mobile applications, audience analytics, advertising technologies, subscription platforms, or streaming technologies

- Experience building and scaling high performing technology organisations

- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills

- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to align technology investments to business outcomes

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced qualifications are advantageous
