Summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a passionate and service-oriented Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages while delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about coffee, attentive to detail, and committed to providing outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a warm, welcoming, and personalized experience for all guests.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with Hyatt standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge by recommending beverages, menu items, and suitable pairings based on guest preferences and dietary requirements.
• Promote daily specials, seasonal offerings, and upselling opportunities to enhance the guest experience and support revenue objectives.
• Ensure beverage quality, consistency, and presentation meet Hyatt brand standards at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment, and work areas while adhering to food safety, sanitation, and HACCP requirements.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate coffee machines and related equipment, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Process guest orders and payments accurately using the Micros POS system while following established cashiering and cash handling procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control, stock rotation, replenishment, and monthly inventory checks of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, feedback, and concerns promptly, professionally, and effectively.
• Work closely with Kitchen, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Support hotel events, promotions, banquets, and other Food & Beverage activities as required.
• Stay current with coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing training and development.
• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming, professionalism, and conduct while representing Hyatt positively at all times.
• Support sustainability initiatives and responsible operating practices to minimize waste and promote environmental awareness.
• Foster teamwork and collaborative working relationships in line with Hyatt's "We work through Teams" philosophy.
• Assist with operational records, inventory documentation, and other administrative tasks required to support departmental efficiency and compliance.
• Demonstrate flexibility by performing additional duties and supporting other departments or operational areas when required to meet business demands and guest service needs.
  
  

• Previous experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation methods, espresso extraction, milk frothing, and specialty beverages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good command of spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
