Automotive Body and Paint Specialist

As an Automotive Body and Paint Specialist, or Technician you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their original condition after they have suffered accident damage or weld new safety structures for goods transport lorries. This position requires a deep understanding of automotive structures, cars, SUV's, Vans, Lorries etc with precise attention to detail, and a strong dedication to quality workmanship. You will work on various tasks ranging from minor repairs to complete body overhauls, with Welding, Tinkering, Denting, Spray painting with 3-years hands-on experience as a multi-skilled technician or single skill specialist for each skill. Your expertise in using specialist equipment such as welding equipment, spray guns, and your keen eye for color matching will be pivotal in ensuring that repairs are not only structurally sound but also visually cohesive. The role demands a blend of technical skills and artistic precision to deliver an excellent finish that meets both company standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess the extent of vehicle damage to determine repair plans.
• Disassemble damaged vehicles in preparation for repair and painting processes.
• Repair and replace damaged body parts and structures of vehicles efficiently.
• Ensure all repaired sections of the vehicle meet safety standards and regulations.
• Use various repair tools and equipment to restore vehicle bodywork accurately.
• Mix paint colors to achieve an exact match of original vehicle paintwork.
• Operate spray painting equipment to apply paint and protective coatings.
• Perform finishing processes such as sanding, polishing, and buffing to perfection.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow considering any damages in other areas such as interior, electrical or engine with high-quality output.
• Keep records of work undertaken and materials used for reporting purposes.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures and timelines.
• Ensure a safe and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Over 3-years of proven experience as an automotive body and paint specialist with welding, Tinkering and Painting skills required as a single specialist skill or multi-skilled.
• Strong knowledge of automotive body repair techniques and practices necessary.
• Proficiency with using body repair and painting tools and equipment essential.
• Excellent color vision and the ability to match colors accurately required.
• Ability to interpret and work from vehicle repair manuals and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills for liaising with team members and customers.
