Sr Project Engineer

The Sr. Project Engineer will spearhead the planning, execution, and close‑out of large‑scale steel building projects across the UAE. This role blends technical expertise with strong leadership to drive project performance, uphold rigorous safety standards, and deliver exceptional value to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of steel building projects from concept through commissioning.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including design, procurement, fabrication, and field crews.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and change orders.
• Monitor progress, generate performance reports, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues on‑site, providing engineering solutions promptly.
• Lead value‑engineering initiatives to optimize cost and schedule.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (PE license preferred).
• Minimum 8 years experience managing steel building construction projects.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑million‑dollar projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ASCE, and local building codes.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and BIM tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or PMP is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to job sites across the United Arab Emirates.
