Job Summary:

We are seeking a driven, technically proficient, and client-focused individual to join our organisation as a Site Engineer (Fire Protection System). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for fire safety, keen problem-solving ability, and strong selling skills to play an integral role in the successful delivery of fire protection system projects. The successful candidate will work onsite with clients, oversee technical execution, and ensure that all fire protection solutions adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, solving complex technical challenges, and building lasting client relationships in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities – Site Engineering, Fire Protection Systems, and Customer Engagement

  • Supervise the onsite installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire alarms, suppression systems, hydrants, and pumps.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to interpret requirements and ensure precise delivery of technical solutions as per project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and system validations in line with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Provide on-site technical support and guidance to installation teams, promptly resolving technical issues and identifying tailored solutions for unique site challenges.
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, highlighting features, benefits, and compliance aspects of fire protection solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary site documentation, including test reports, progress updates, and compliance records for authority submissions.
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional services, upgrades, or solutions that meet client needs while supporting the companys sales growth objectives.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of professional integrity.

Required Skills – Selling Fire Protection Solutions, Technical Knowledge, and Communication

  • Demonstrated selling skills with the ability to build rapport and trust across a diverse client base.
  • Strong technical understanding of fire protection systems and equipment, including relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN, local regulations).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and third-party contractors.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver professional site reports, technical proposals, and clear documentation.

Desirable Traits – Problem Solving and Solution Orientation in Fire Safety Projects

  • Strong problem-solving mindset, able to analyse technical challenges onsite and implement effective, compliant solutions.
  • Resourceful and proactive, demonstrating initiative in overcoming project obstacles to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines in a dynamic site environment.

Qualifications & Experience – Fire Protection Systems, Site Engineering, and Project Delivery

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with fire protection systems in a site-based, engineering, or technical sales role.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various client sites as required.
