Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector- Roads to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector- Roads, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of road construction and maintenance projects throughout the emirate.

• Conduct thorough inspections of road construction, maintenance, and repair projects to ensure compliance with local standards and specifications
• Utilize specialized equipment and tools to assess road conditions, materials, and workmanship
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations for corrective actions
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents related to road projects
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project quality
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites
• Perform quality control tests on materials used in road construction and maintenance
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and project progress
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities and findings
• Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in road construction and maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in road inspection or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
• Proficiency in using inspection equipment and tools
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in road construction
• Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in using computer software for data entry and report generation
• Familiarity with local road construction standards and regulations in Abu Dhabi
• Valid UAE drivers license
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions in Abu Dhabis climate
• Relevant certifications in road inspection or construction management (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform field inspections and navigate construction sites
