Job Summary

As an Entertainment Technician, you play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and immersive entertainment experiences across theme park events, shows, and attractions. You will manage, troubleshoot, and maintain a diverse range of technical systems—including audio, video, lighting, special effects, animatronics, and digital signage—to deliver flawless operations. Collaborating closely with stage managers, performers, and technical teams, you ensure safety, efficiency, and a high standard of service, all while staying aligned with operational protocols. Your precision and expertise will enrich guest experiences by guaranteeing technical reliability and innovation within fast-paced entertainment environments.

Responsibilities

Technical Support Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the setup, operation, and upkeep of audio, video, lighting, and technical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Execute routine inspections of audio-visual (AV) networks and show systems to mitigate equipment failures and maintain optimal functionality.
• Perform proactive preventive maintenance aligned with manufacturer guidelines to reduce downtime and maintain high operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time technical issues to prevent disruptions during live shows, events, and daily park operations.
• Assist or lead technical operations to fulfill the requirements of production and event teams, supporting the smooth execution of entertainment and park operations.
• Conduct thorough corrective maintenance to eliminate recurring technical issues and uphold system reliability.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training programs and briefings to enhance technical expertise and growth.
  
  

Qualifications

Essential

• High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining audio, video, and lighting equipment in live entertainment or event production settings.
• Electrical, electronic, and IT network experience.
• A solid grasp of show control systems and entertainment production technology.
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex technical problems and a keen interest in contemporary technologies.
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical schematics and one-line drawings.
• Capability to work long shifts, lifting up to 25 kg, and using installation tools effectively.
• Familiarity with repair and component maintenance of audio, lighting, and video systems.

• Technical training or certification in audiovisual technology, electrical engineering, information technology, or electronics.
• Theatrical or live event production background, including prior theme park experience.
• Knowledge of show automation, digital signal processing, or system integration and design.
• Experience ensuring proactive maintenance and compliance with safety protocols.
• Strong collaborative and team-oriented skills, paired with the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
