Job Description

As a Cable & Civil Engineer, you will play a vital role in overseeing the execution of cable projects within the Fixed Network Development department. Your responsibilities will include managing project timelines, conducting thorough site investigations, and identifying potential risks. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, providing valuable technical insights and expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Managing, developing, creating and maintaining cable projects
• Conducting on-site investigations and analyzing data
• Assessing potential risks, materials and costs
• Guiding contractors on priorities and how to increase productivity
• Coordinate with other service authorities to smoothly complete the works
• Consult and follow local authorities principles and rules
• Fulfill the needs of pedestrians and property safety
• Fulfill Etisalat and local authorities permission requirements
• Verify and approve cable testing
• Approve diary sheets and completion documents
• Verify and approve as-built drawings
• Update database as per actual completion
• Managing, developing, creating and maintaining construction projects
• Ensures safety of construction sites
• Verify and approve as-builts
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in telecom or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of cable installation and civil engineering principles.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
