Maintenance Supervisor

LOCATION:

Al Saad -Al Ain

Purpose

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment by overseeing all types of maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency breakdown repairs, as well as planning the replenishment of parts and tools as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations, including preventive, predictive, and corrective tasks.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work to technicians based on priorities and production requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement strategies to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, etc.).
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment history, work orders, and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and services.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure correct use of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Job Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a food processing or FMCG manufacturing environment; experience in dates, chocolates, or confectionery industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
• Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Good understanding of food industry regulations and standards.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
